How To Throw A 50th Anniversary Party For Your Parents
If your parents are getting ready to celebrate their 50th anniversary you may be thinking about throwing them a party. Hosting a party to celebrate their marriage can be a great 50th anniversary gift that you and your siblings could give your parents. Here are a few things to consider when planning a party for your parents:
Surprise – Do you parents like surprises or do they hate them? If they don’t enjoy being surprised, it is probably best to honor their wishes and tell them about the party that you are planning. On the other hand if they like to be surprised, having everyone gather and jump out and yell surprise might be just the 50th wedding anniversary gift they were hoping for.
Guest List – While you are probably familiar with some of your parent’s friends there is a good chance that you don’t know them all. Ask one of your family friends to help you track down all of their friends if it is a surprise party, if they know about it then they can easily help you.
While getting your parents a 50th birthday gift basket may seem like a good idea for their anniversary, a better gift idea is throwing them a party. Having a special night with their friends and family will give them memories to last a lifetime.
